MAPEFLEX PU40

A one-component, low-modulus, paintable polyurethane (PU) sealant. It possesses excellent thixotropic properties (anti-sagging), making it particularly suitable for filling expansion joints and control joints that are prone to displacement, both indoors and outdoors.

Major Applications

• façades on civil and industrial buildings;
• pre-fabricated concrete panels;
• industrial floors subject to vehicular traffic;
• concrete floors for car-parks, supermarkets, shopping centres and warehouses;
• concrete walls and general internal and external vertical structures where the use of a thixotropic product is required.

Advantages

• Primer-free adhesion: Provides excellent adhesion to common porous or non-porous substrates such as concrete, natural stone, metal, wood, and masonry, typically without the need for a primer.
• Excellent anti-sagging properties: The creamy, thixotropic paste prevents dripping even in wide vertical joints.
• Paintable finish: After the sealant has fully cured (polymerized), it can be directly coated with commonly used construction-grade elastic paints (such as Elastocolor Paint) for a seamless integration into the wall appearance.
• Superior weather resistance: Offers excellent resistance to UV radiation and chemical corrosion, resisting aging even after prolonged outdoor exposure.
• International environmental and quality certifications: Complies with ISO 11600 (Class F-25 LM) standards and is EMICODE EC1 R certified for ultra-low volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Technical Data

Application and Curing Characteristics (Ambient Temperature +23°C, Relative Humidity 50%)

Application Temperature Range: +5°C to +35°C

Surface Dry Time (Touch Dry): Approx. 60 minutes

Workable Time: Approx. 3 hours

Cure Speed: Approx. 3 mm on the first day, approx. 4 mm on the first two days (decreasing with depth, curing depends on air humidity).

ISO 11600: Complies with F-25 LM grade (low modulus construction sealant)

EN 15651-1 (Exterior Wall Component Sealing): Rated F-EXT-INT-CC, class 25 LM

EN 15651-4 (Pedestrian Walkway/Ground Sealing): Rated PW-EXT-INT-CC, class 25 LM
