Mapei ADESILEX G19

This two-component epoxy polyurethane adhesive is suitable for indoor and outdoor resilient and textile flooring on both absorbent and non-absorbent substrates. It was specifically developed for the installation of rubber sports tracks.

Major Applications

• Use Adesilex G19 for bonding: · rubber athletic tracks and multisport ooring on asphalt;
• recycled rubber shock-absorbent ooring on asphalt in playgrounds;
• resilient ooring for indoor sports ooring, also onto waterproong berglass underlays such as Mapelay;
•  homogeneous and heterogeneous PVC, sheets and tiles;
• CV oor coverings;
• LVT;
• semi-exible quartz vinyl oor tiles (VTC);
• textile oor coverings with all common backings (latex-primed, PVC and polyurethane foam, natural jute and ActionBac backed carpets etc.);
• needlepunch woven ooring also in latex;
• ocked textile ooring;
• linoleum with all kind of backings;
• polyolen-based and chlorine-free oor coverings;
• PUR oor coverings.

Advantages

• This is a high-strength, highly resilient, and extremely elastic general-purpose adhesive, especially suitable for non-absorbent substrates or moisture-sensitive substrates (wood, metal, ceramics, stone, resin, PVC, rubber, etc.).
• It can be used for both indoor and outdoor flooring. Specifically developed for rubber running track installation.
• Furthermore, it can also be used as a general-purpose adhesive for rubber, PVC, and all common elastic and textile flooring materials. It is particularly suitable for applications involving extreme temperatures (e.g., solar radiation), strong mechanical stress from forklifts, elevators, etc., or frequent cleaning (especially when the flooring material is not welded or sealed).

Technical Data

Adesilex G19 is a two-component adhesive made from an epoxy-polyurethane polymer, component A, and a special hardener, component B. When the two components are mixed together, they form an even coloured paste which is easy to apply with a suitable notched trowel. After setting (around 24 hours), which takes place by means of a chemical reaction without any shrinking, Adesilex G19 becomes though and resistant to moisture, water, heat and atmospheric agents, and adheres extremely well to almost all materials normally used in the building industry.

Consumption by Experience

· Trowel No. 1 or TKB A1/A2: 350-450 g/m²;

· trowel No. 2 or TKB B1; B2: 450-550 g/m²;

· Trowel No. 3 or TKB C1: 550-750 g/m²;

· Trowel No. 4: 750-1000 g/m².
